Abstract

The current research aims to deals with the subject of psychological security and its relation to the future concern of students of Faculty of Dentistry at Sana’a University. It also aimed to explain the relationship between psychological security and future anxiety among students of Faculty of Dentistry at Sana’a University.

The study was based on the descriptive descriptive approach to identify the relationship between the two variables of psychological security and future anxiety, using the psychometric measure of the risk and the measure of the future concern of Researchers. Whose characteristics were confirmed by the accuracy and consistency of a sample of (20) students, were selected in a simple random way.

The tools were then applied in their final form to a random sample of (384) students, after collecting and tabulating the data were processed using SPSS. Using Pearson correlation test and correlation, the results were obtained:

1- The existence of a high level of psychological security and future anxiety among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

2- The existence of a statistical and moral relationship between psychological security and fear of future problems among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

3- The existence of a statistical and moral relationship between psychological security and the unpleasant (pessimistic) view of the future among students of the   Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

4- There is no relationship statistical and moral correlation between psychological security and preoccupation with excessive thinking about the future among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

5- There is no statistical and moral relationship between psychological security and excessive anxiety (death anxiety) among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

6- The existence of a direct positive statistically significant relationship between psychological security and future anxiety among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University.

7- The existence of statistically significant differences in the level of psychological security among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University, according to the gender variable in favor of females.

8- The existence of statistically significant differences in the level of future anxiety among students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University, according to the gender variable in favor of males.
