Abstract

It is essential for a student of Islamic knowledge to gain a deep understanding of their religion and to recognize the points of consensus for issues that highlight a lack of disagreement among the schools of thought till they can benefit from them easily. Attention should be given to comparative jurisprudence books, many of which contain the consensus of scholars and jurists; this helps in understanding the nuances of an issue when resolving disputes.

This study investigates a model of this approach by examining issues of consensus in the chapter on fasting: a comparative jurisprudential study. The scholar has compiled issues that have no disagreement, traced the consensus from the recognized texts of established schools, and noted their agreement with the consensus on the issue. Additionally, the researcher has summarized each issue to facilitate research and enable easy assessment and reference.

The methodology that employed in the Book of Al-Intisar is unique compared to other works on jurisprudence in Yemen, regardless of whether they were written before or after it, despite the abundance of scholars and their writings. It stands out as a pioneering approach in terms of methodology: its structure, classification, organization, content, opinions, choices, and methods of research, inference, and reasoning.
